This Prolactin (PRL) FIA Quantitative Test is a test to quantitatively detect the levels of Prolactin in human blood samples, including whole blood, serum and plasma, which is tested by LYOFIA® platform from VACURE Biotech.

Summary
Prolactin (PRL) is a hormone released by the pituitary gland. The pituitary is a small gland at the base of the brain that regulates the body's balance of many hormones. Prolactin has a wide variety of effects. The best known for its role in enabling mammals to produce milk. It is influential in over 300 separate processes in various vertebrates, including humans. Usually, the prolactin levels are low unless you're pregnant or breastfeeding (chestfeeding), so the only sign of having lower-than-normal levels of prolactin is a lack of breast milk production after giving birth.
