Intended use
This HbA1c FIA Rapid Test is developed for the in vitro qualitative detection of HbA1c in human serum, plasma, and performed on self-developed LYOFIA® platform by VAUCRE Biotech.
It is for in vitro diagnostic use only, not for self-testing of untrained individuals.
Summary
Diabetes is a group of syndromes caused by a series of metabolic disorders of protein, fat, water, and electrolytes due to absolute or relative insufficient secretion of insulin and reduced sensitivity of target tissue cells to insulin, among which hyperglycemia is the main sign.
The main clinical manifestations of diabetes are polydipsia, polyuria, polyphagia and weight loss ("three more and one less"), as well as high blood sugar and glucose in the urine (normal urine should not contain glucose). If diabetes is not effectively treated, it can cause damage to multiple systems of the body, leading to chronic progressive disease, functional decline and failure of the eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart, blood vessels and other tissues and organs. Acute and severe metabolic disorders, such as diabetic ketoacidosis and hyperosmolar hyperglycemic syndrome, may occur when the condition is severe or under stress.
