Intended use

This device is intended to be used for the in vitro quantitative determination of insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3 (IGFBP-3) in human whole blood, serum or plasma. And it is for professional use only, not for self-testing of untrained individuals, nor for near-patient testing.

Summary

Insulin-like growth factor 3 (IGFBP-3) is a member of the insulin-like growth factor family. Human IGFBP-III is a macromolecular complex containing 264 amino acids and a molecular weight of 150KD. It is the main binding protein of insulin-like growth factor, and both insulin-like growth factor I and insulin-like growth factor II have high binding to IGFBP-3 [2] and participate in the regulation of IGFBP-1 victory function [3]. Clinically, it is mainly used for auxiliary diagnosis of growth disorders and premature rupture of membranes.

The current clinical methods for detecting IGFBP-3 include chemiluminescence, immunochromatography and so on.
