Summary

The main function is to store iron and maintain the relative stability of hemoglobin. It is one of the effective indicators that can sensitively reflect the reduction of iron content in the body or the overload of iron. The serum ferritin content in normal people is low. However, ferritin can be released into the serum, resulting in the fluctuation of ferritin in the serum when the body has a disease and the body's iron metabolism is abnormal. Current clinical methods for detecting Ferritin include chemiluminescence method, immunochromatography method, and etc.
