This C-Reactive Protein (CRP) FIA TEST is a blood test to quantitatively measure the levels of CRP in human blood samples like fingertip blood, whole blood, serum and plasma on LYOFIA® platform developed by VACURE Biotech.

Summary
CRP is C-reactive protein. It is an acute response protein synthesized by liver cells when the body is injured or infected by pathogenic microorganisms. It has the functions of activating complement, immune regulation and phagocytosis. It is often used clinically for the diagnosis and identification of bacterial infections. During bacterial infection, C-reactive protein can rise rapidly. After the infection symptoms disappear, its content drops to normal in about a week, but it does not increase significantly during viral infection.

The measurement CRP is of great significance in the diagnosis and efficacy observation of diseases such as inflammation, tissue damage, and malignant tumors. Research in the past decade has shown that CRP is directly involved in cardiovascular diseases such as inflammation and atherosclerosis, and is a strong predictor of cardiovascular diseases.
The reference value of C-Reactive Protein (CRP) FIA TEST is less than 10mg/L. When its value increases, it is mainly seen in various acute suppurative inflammations, bacteremia, myocardial infarction, surgical trauma, tissue necrosis or the early stages of malignant tumors.
In addition, C-reactive protein can also be used to evaluate disease activity and monitor the effectiveness of antibiotic treatment. When C-reactive protein drops to normal, it can usually be used to guide whether to interrupt antibiotic treatment.
